TYM gets recognized at a national forum of agricultural leaders
Senior executive of TYM, Kim Woo-sik, was honored with a commendation from the Korean government. He was one of only 9 people to receive this commendation during the 2015 Agricultural Leaders Forum, held at the Hilton Hotel in Gyeongju between the 3rd and 4th of December.
The forum saw the participation of several government and industry leaders, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Food who gave a talk on "Law and Life". By being recognized at this prestigious event, TYM has reinforced its position as an equipment manufacturer that will help facilitate the future of agriculture.
President Shin-Gil Kim of the Agricultural Machinery Association said, “This year was a year when there were many difficulties in the agricultural machinery industry due to the prolonged yen low phenomenon and the contraction of the domestic market.”
While acknowledging the challenges to the agricultural industry this year, the president noted that there will be several initiatives to promote better accessibility to agricultural machinery.
“The Agricultural Machinery Association will overcome the limitations of the stagnant domestic market and the agricultural machinery policy interest rate. We will do our best to promote stable growth and development of the agricultural machinery industry, such as holding domestic and international fairs to cut sales, increase sales, and promote multilateral development measures to continuously expand exports of agricultural machinery.”
TYM plans to partake in a range of national-scale activities to make agricultural equipment accessible to farmers and facilitate sustainable growth of the agricultural industry.
